The Challenge
The NBA Rising Star Invitational is a high-octane live sports tournament showcasing the top high school boys and girls basketball talent. Bringing an event of this scale to life requires an immersive stadium environment. My challenge was to take the static graphic materials provided by the client and translate them into massive, dynamic animation packages optimized specifically for the court-side and main stage LED screens. The motion design had to sustain the energy of a live crowd while remaining clear and legible across huge physical display formats.
The Live Event Experience: Stage & Arena Motion
Working with the client's established visual identity, I breathed life into the stadium's digital canvas. The goal was to create a rhythmic, high-energy environment that reacted to the tournament's biggest moments.
Because live events are highly unpredictable, the motion assets had to be incredibly versatile. I engineered a comprehensive LED package that covered every phase of the event.
Execution & On-Site Deliverables
I was responsible for animating the entire on-screen stadium ecosystem, ensuring all assets were perfectly formatted for large-scale LED playback. Beyond the pre-produced content, the live nature of the tournament demanded rapid, daily content creation to keep the stadium screens accurate as the tournament progressed.
